Christmas Through the Ages

These are my annual Christmas dolls! Most of these dolls have had a lot of dolls done between them, some of them only a couple, but I put them all together for your viewing delight anyway ! I know I usually refer to my groups like this as an “army” . . . it just didn’t seem appropriate this time . Done from 2004 to 2008, they are in order from oldest (top) to newest (bottom).

I do a Christmas doll every year for my friends and family and send it out as a gift. My goal is to make each one different from each other and to have a special holiday greeting so it is like a Christmas card . I also always have them hold something. That can be difficult, but it is fun, too !

Wow, seeing them all together like this really allows me to see my progress and style changes. While the top doll isn’t my oldest (my very first one has vanished :thumb180927515, it is still a good look back into how I used to doll. I kind of believe I improved up until my 2008 doll. She’s so different from what I usually do and my style had changed drastically. I think I backtracked a little bit on accident . Ah well!
